So im about to do the good old door convertion to some coupe doors i picked up. I read the write up about doing it and noticed that the seatbelt retractor was placed in the lowest hole closest to door. When i look at this hole it seems as though if i use it the seatbelt will rest on my stomache rather then my hip area... does not seem to safe to me but if its ok can someone please ease my stress.. thank you

i did search but obviously no one has this question.

The end of the seat belt bolts into the stock coupe location right below the door (look under your carpet). The "loop" mounts near the top of the rear pillar. When clicked in, the "top half" of the belt runs across your chest, and the "bottom half" of the belt runs across your waist.

The location of the retractor doesn't really have anything to do with where the seat belt falls on your body; the "loop", end, and receptacle do.

lol gotcha.. when i was placing it in my car just to see where everything goes i was thinking the retractor goes on the bottom and the part of the belt that goes around the waist was directly out of the retractor ( retractor facing toward the front of the car) then i was driving along today thinking about it when it hit me... the retractor is suppose to point up.. lol thanks for the help though.. im a moron!
