Door Button Lock Unlock

All of a sudden on my 2006 G35x, when I hit the button on the door to lock or unlock the car, neither the lights or the horn sound as they used to. I hear nothing but the doors locking or unlocking. Any idea why? Thanks!

i know this is changeable with the consult scanner at the dealer but i think there is a way to do it with the remote. i just don't remember how...anyone else?

I believe that you have to hold both lock/unlck bottons on your remote to change the settings. Silent or audiable.

Look in your owner manual. It explains how to activate or deactivate lights/horn.

MOOKS is right!

Hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the remote at the same time to toggle between silent and audible door locking.

Also, when set for silent locking, the parking lights don't flash when you unlock.
