Doom 3 is for pansies and guys who need masculating ego stroking.

It's all about Peasants Quest if you want to test your real manliness.

I love AGI games...ah, memories of my youth.

tenkawa, are you watching for the wind? go almost all the way to the right or left is the wind is strong, go halfway if the wind is weak... as for the actual shooting, hit the space bar once on the way up-- match the left arrow with the red line, then on the way down hit space again to match the right arrow with the red line.... its not that hard man!

Anyone know where there are more online games like this? I had fun playing this one...

eh, I only got 139. I never figured out the naked guy either. I'm not sure there was anything you could do with him, just something to piss you off.

In the original versions you did. I learned to type and spell playing the old sierra games. You had to be able to type fast enough to do things to enemies, and spell correctly because the game didn't understand typos. My favorite was the Heros Quest series which was later renamed Quest For Glory. It was more of an RPG than any of the others.

Sierra later re-released the old series' and made them more windows friendly. They encorporated a mouse, and did away with the typed commands. To me this made things much more simple, but it also removed what I used to learn to type and spell for the next generation. They also made all of the new games in the Windows friendly style.

I had almost all of em:

Space Quest seriesKings Quest SeriesPolice QuestHeros Quest/Quest for GloryLeisure Suit Larry Conquest of CamelotBlack Cauldron

I'm sure there were more, but I don't have time to dig out my old 5.25" floppies and 3.5" floppies to find out.

These were some of the best games I ever played, and I spent many hours playing them and never got bored. It was more than running around shooting each other, it required thought and patence and the ability to spell.

Lucas Arts used to release some of the funniest, and best, adventure games. Sam and Max Hit the Road was by far one of the best video games I have ever played. And it went beyond the game, they included booklets and coloring maps with the game.

And if you ever played Full Throttle, you will have played the pinnacle of the point and click adventure/puzzle games. And getting the Walkthrough Book included interviews with the voice actors, the game creaters, how the sound effects for the vehicles were done, and screen shots of alpha testing errors.

The Dig was another great adventure game put out by Lucas Arts.

EDIT: And who could forget Maniac Mansion

There are a bunch of individually made games like this one, a very good one is Time Quest, I suggest downloading it sometime. Either of these sites should have it.

I actually have AGI Studio and other supporting software on my computer to program these games, but it's very time-intensive and my programming skills are dubious at best. Someday when I have a lot of free time I'll make up my own game.

There's also an SCI programming suite out there now.
