Today was my season opener for donut madness..... Me and a few friends had some great times today..... The Q performed by far the best out of them, I did 4 rotations and could have easily gone farther......!

The lineup was my Q, a 02 mustang V6, 93 geo metro (aka Barbara), and a 92 ford escort wagon.... My car did better donuts, but wasnt as predictable as the mustang.... I think the mustang has better weight distrubution.....

The funniest to watch was the metro.... That thing can do some bad slides!!

I may have an animated GIF image of one of mine... It was golden!!!

Im sure none of you all do donuts in your Q though.... You dont know what your missing!

Wes - sounds like fun :D

We're getting (during rush hour :() what you got earlier today, would be my guess. Luckily I got a loaner today as the streets are HORRIBLE.

FWIW, I did stop to hepl an I30 in distress. Dead battery, and alt doesn't seem to be able to keep enough for the car to run, or maybe the alt's dead?? Anyhow, I stopped in 23 degree (not windchill) weather with blowing snow/freezing rain. I've done my good duty for awhile.

Quella gets a donut or two every time it rains.

Tires cost too much to do them dry... :D

Yes tires are too expensive, especially 255-50s!!!! Just come out here where you can do donuts and slide all around!!! Its madness!

If Hitman does it, it must be right!!! :D

We may be going out for another run tonight or tomorrow!!!

Rex- Glad you helped a fellow Infinitian in distress.... Did you tell him about NICO.....? Man, you guys must have gotten slammed, ebcause it was really going this morning at about 9......

tires cost way too much, and don't last long even without burnouts and donuts. i know donuts on dry ground are easy, even with wiiiiiide tires. i've got my stock wheels with some dry rotted tires, i need to borrow a video camera and put them on to wear off the rest of the tread :D . i need tires again :( , 17's cost too much so i'm going back to piepans.

I'm going traysliding tomorrow, and my friend's RX-7 is gonna pull quite a few donuts. I should have some pictures tomorrow night. None of us have Qs though, but i think an old Impala will be there. The full-size sedan will have some representation.

Metro is based on the same platform as the Pontiac Firefly right? I had a 1987/88 4 door blue Firefly as my first ever car at 16. An amazingly fun car, keeping in mind it only had a 3 cylinder engine. The handling was just like a go-kart....

Anyways, to get back on point....we used to do crazy stuff in it all the time too...I remember one urine inducing moment on a downhill section right before a stop light at about 2 in the morning, at one of the busiest intersections in Hamilton. We're coming down, I brake and the whole thing does 4 revolutions as we sail through the intersection...luckily with no cars going through as well.

Fun times.

But not as fun as when I managed to fit 14 people on and around the Firefly to go to an afterschool fight. (a long story)

Haha... The Geo Metro is a toyota corolla basically.....

That still doesnt match the 20 people we fit into a Ford Festiva..... I have the pictures <in the yearbook> to prove it...

A geo metro? My first car was a chevy sprint which came before the geo. That 3 cylinder suzuki engine held up amazing well. That's front wheel drive so you had to do reverse donuts I take it.

Speaking of fun times when I was in college I had a friend who had an older beat up V6 firebird and one summer night someone got an idea. They decided to pour motor oil over the rear tires so they could do a massive burnout. Good thing we were in an empty parking lot because that car was all over the place and the smoke lingered for hours.
