I hit a lurb, not a curb or a lump but a mixture of the two. a really flat low curb. and it hurt. Now I thought i blew the tire and bent the wheel. wrong. Tire is fine and so is wheel, but there is this grinding noise when i turn my wheel i figure i am rubbing hard, well i am but i am also rubbing the back side lip of my wheel against the shock housing....fml. I raised the car on that wheel hoping it would solve the issue. wrong. It made it wayyyy worse now the whole tire is rubbing the spring but the tire is now clearing the fender with ease. what do you think i bent. because there is alot s*** up there.

For the tire to rub the strut/spring, you must have bent the spindle?Pics would help though.

Edit: We are talking about the front, right?

i will try to get pics, but i figured it had to be in the hub area. bc the strut and spring are still straight and the arms look good, fml. I hate lurbs.hahah

You hit the back of wheel on a curb or the front wheel?

First off either way check the LCA's if it is the rear check all upper arms as well. Spindles are pretty hard to bend but if you hit it hard enough then you may have. Good luck report back with pics if possible.

You would have had to SMASH that curb to bend the spindle. When I hit my curb, I flew in the air at least 2 feet but I only bent a tie rod and a lower control arm. Check those. Kinda depends on how you hit.

i hit it straight on and it was my front driver wheel, my steering is still straight but the wheel is tweaked sorta like this /. not that bad but enough to were the tire and wheel and making lots of contact with the strut and spring itself. i think its lca. but i guess i will have to tear it down and look.

I'm suspecting strut rod and a arm. There are plenty of places that will check it for free. Meineke, schwab Etc.

i fixed it.it was the 2 bolts that hold the lower wheel assembly to the strut housing. caster bolts i believe. were knocked back out of there slot or pushed back atleast. nothingwasbent or hurt. thank god. 55 mph curb checkand no damage.

I say LCA, it is hard to see if it is bent until you take it off the car or take a good look from underneath the car.
