Try the Nissan dealership to look for the straps.

Someone in Classifieds HAS to be parting a 240 that would gladly sell you tank straps.

Dropping the tank is easy: 2 bolts hold the straps in place, and if they're rusted, you're gonna need to bust them loose... No cutting, you don't want sparks down there.

Yeah, also make sure there is little or no gas, makes the tank a lil bit lighter.

I know for a fact Advance carries them. I used to work at the PDQ20 (Distribution plant in albany ny) In fact i just orded some for my friends coupe yesterday

So tell them to stop lieing and cross referance some numbers. Nissan is big on interchangeable parts.

Nissan Dealership when i went in july was 225 plus about 2-3 weeks turn around time.

Be baller and get a fuel cell. and some nice lines.

courtesyparts.com has them as well, along with every other OEM part for your 240 you could think of.

I've got a set off my 92 hatch that I'm parting...75 shipped and they're yours. Dropping the tank isn't hard...just put a jack under it and start unbolting things. There really isn't much to it.

Don't forget the screw in the gas cap area that holds the "neck" in place.

I made my own straps out of aluminum straps.
