dono what the f*** happened but the car is running like crap

installed a stock s14 fan today, i had it all runing good and fine, started up and idled great

then i took off the cold air intake piping, not even the maff, just disconnected it from the couplings

and i took off the valve cover to paint them both, put them both off, and its idling like s***, barely running and it is freaking me out so bad, cause i didnt touch anything that could have doen that

checked all plugs, checked vacuum lines, nothing was dropped into the head, everything is bolted down ok, i dont know what the problem is please help!

what did you do with the maf when you took the piping off? did you leave it dangling? try unplugging it while the car is running, if the idle doesn't change, you could start there.

I would think its a MAF issue, or Vacuum related.

make sure the valve cover is seated correctly, check all vacuum lines. gl
