i am an 18 year old kid turning 18 the 28th of this month and am getting 2.5 thousand for a car, i am getting 1500 back from a CD and the rest i have worked my *** of for, i have a 1987 300zx and am looking to do a swap the 302 i was thinking of takes too much fabrication me and my father have the know how but not the equipment, i was thinking of renting of it but would rather do another swap.

the thing is i was planning on the 302 into either the 300zx 280zx or 260zx i have trade offers for both the 280zx and 260zx all of these cars are NOT turbo.and i rather not go for the turbo single cam. The thing is what would be a better swap (im not listing engines, i would like opinions)

ka24- yes 240sx truck engine not much weight dif but is DOHC and A LOT of aftermarket parts, i have worked on 3 that are now 300-423hp to the wheels

302- ehhhhhhhhh dont like the idea, but i know it like the back of my hand

vh45/41- very interesting although i havent read anything about it being in a 300zx and in the 280zx its a close fit, but some how the 260zx has more space from the front strut tower to the back (280zx needs master cylinder moved)

1uzfe- toyota sc400 engine STRONG engine but never had a manual gear box but am contemplating on keeping it auto (40%) and there has been a swap

please anything on this subject is helpfuL AND I AM GOING TO DO A SWAP WITH COMPLETE PICTURES, so its not a waste of time.

ohhhhh by the way please dont tell me to go rotary like my puerto rican friend, or 2jz, or rb, or sr for that matter thank you

how expensive is the swap i can go up to about 3g's

when swapping V8's the chevy itends to be favored for most swaps, I'm not sure abotu the Z31 chassis but it's a very simple swap into the S30 chassis, the ford swap is much more complicated

for the Z31 the VG30ET swap just makes sence, it's all factory parts so it all just bolts in, and it's a great engine with lots fo potential

this is the motor they use in the JGTC 350zs and R35 gtrs, they just convert it to twin turbo.

they (vq30de) run around $900 so there uber cheap
