I don't know anything about gear ratios...Is the gearing on the J30 LSD 4% higher or 4% lower.

By lower I mean with better low end performance.

How do those ratios work anyways.

The J30 rear end (3.917) is 4% taller than the stock S14 (4.083). So in other words, you get about 5 mph of difference at 120mph =) And when you are going an indicated 73mph in a 55 zone, you are actually going 77mph. Damn Troopers.
