Don't use Daft Innovations

I've been working on building my LS1 240sx, and trying to get it done before i ship out for the military. Anyways i highly don't recommend using Daft Innovation products. I've purchased the custom headers ($640) from them and they don't fit. In order for them to even remotely fit, i had to dent in tubing, re drill mounting holes and thats the passenger side, drivers side i've dented in tubing to get the steering rod and knuckle to fit, and had to dent in more tubing to get the power steering tubing to clear, but yet again mounting holes are not correct, and have to be re drilled. My money i've spent on custom headers was a waste. I am not the only whos had problems with Daft.

Thanks for the heads up man. Do you have any pictures? What the company say when you complained to them?

Why didn't you send them back before modifying them?

I haven't taken any pics yet. Dude told me well man you used Sikky mounts, and he knew that when i bought them, he even mentioned it that your going to use Sikky mounts right. I told him well if your headers are only ment for your mounts then you need to post that on your site when people are looking to buy them. He later replied oh man well things should be interchangeable, and sorry for the trouble. I didn't send them back because i've had issues with one took 3 months to get those crappy headers, and two took a month to just get back $65. Was a hassle with him and paypal. So just imagine how long and if i would get my money back. Loss either way. I'm just going to use those crap headers for just that my craps.

^ I know how it is man, I'm going through pretty much the same thing with BEGi right now for my Miata. Nothing really fits or works right, they don't seem to want to do much about it.

yeah man thats the kind of bs that makes peoples companies go down hill. Oh well thats why i like to do alot of things myself, and well when i get back time to make me some custom headers and hopefully have them titanium coated.

Daft is TERRIBLE.

I helped a friend do an LS1 swap to his S14, and NOTHING FIT CORRECTLY. It took forever and multiple tries for the "daft" bastard to send us a setup that fit correctly.

His kit and customer service are beyond garbage.

@ Antihero. Yeah man no joke. Very dissatisfied with his work. The sad part is he won't do anything to correct his errors. So i'm out that money. Thats ok, it will all keep coming back on him. I will make my own custom headers later this yr(titanium coated too), just going to put the stock exhaust manifolds back on and get my Beast to fire up. One shouldn't advertise that they have LS1 240 headers and then they don't even fit. Let alone if they are meant for only your motor mount kit, then you should post that on your site. IDIOT
