"What Matters" to Buick is the American taxpayer's compulsory support.

Hey...at least they aren't selling themselves as american imports.
Seriously..."Imported from Detroit" doesn't make any goddamn sense. Unless, of course, you aren't actually in amurrica.

Imported from Brampton, Ontario

I didnt mind the positive message, but this Buick ad looked like it was ready to sell a c*** pills or detergent.

Thanks, Buick, but I'm looking to buy a car, not a lifestyle; not a car company.

What I don't get is that they act like they have never made a Turbo Buick before when in fact they have a LEGENDARY history of making such a car.

GM is so f**ked up in general that it just pisses me off.

The GNX is like the only good thing to come out of Buick in the last 25 years...

The only "American" car company doing anything right nowadays is Ford, in my opinion.

GM is just trying to copy all the European cars. I remember a Buick commercial a while back saying how their new car was "German" inspired. Why the hell should American car companies have to COPY other countries? This is Murica. We should be setting the precedent. They should be copying US. :tisk:

Chrysler isn't even worth mentioning......

Agree with the first statement...not so much the second.
GM has made a LOT of "European cars" that are badge engineered or made from the ground up and never sold in the U.S. Vauxhalls, Opels, and Holdens.
So they are copying themselves? And besides...everyone is copying everyone else, what with all the technology swapping going on. Mercedes V8's in Nissans, Subaru F-4's in Toyotas, musical hybrid systems between who knows which manufacturer...

The only thing I would consider buying from GM would be

a) their trucks

b) anything Cadillac

I've sat and rode in a bunch of new GM cars, and it's only marginally nicer than the garbage they were producing in the early 2000s. The interior feels cheap, and the body lines are terrible. They're MILES behind the new Hyndai/Kia stuff. But, you know what, that's what sells here in America. There are many who actually LIKE how new GM cars look.

BAD to the bone. The Buick big block had the largest bore and shortest stroke of the great GM big blocks. Mod for mod, it made more power than even the mighty Chevy 454.
