okay actually you can laugh. it's kinda funny.

soooo i actually found a lot of threads about this but they all seem to be where the adapter is stuck in the hole, not the actual tester. i didnt use the adapter because i didn't really see the point...the tester screws in just fine by hand. however, it didn't come back out. the hose turns but it doesn't turn the piece at the bottom. wahhhhhhhh. i've used this tester (a lender from autozone...) before, and it worked fine. I don't want to cut the hose or anything since then I've gotta buy the adapter for $35 or whatever. And I'm not even sure what good that would do.

Anyway, any help?

that sucks. long skinny needle nose pliers might be able to get a hold of the base and twist out. spray some pb blaster down there first to hopefully loosen it up a bit.

You may have to modify a flare nut wrench so you can grab the bottom of that plug, or get something similar to this:

To bend the flare nut wrench, you'll have to stick one end in a shop vise (all metal) and torch it so you're able to bend it without snapping it. I don't know if you'll be able to get the angle you need for sure, but I imagine it's worth a shot.

Beyond that, you can just yank the hose off the comp tester use a socket on the leftover bits, but then that's more money too, heh.

Good example of why you should use anti-seze compound.

Long neddle nose would be my choice.
