ive been waiting a while for a 240 but all i see are automatics. i rather have a 5speed but they're either over priced or really messed up. there is a 93 fb that is like a block away from me and its for sale. should i wait for a 5speed or get this automatic and transmission swap it later on? i'm confused

you can get the auto and swap them then you wont have a speed limiter

yeah what he said is a plus... it'll cost about $500 to do the swap probably. it's not all that hard to do really, but it is a pain to do. i'm going through the same type of thing. i bought an automatic a while ago and i just dont feel like swapping it, and i bought another one that is a 5 speed, so i am selling my automatic. but look i'll say this: if you are ever going to put a sr or any different engine with a different transmission in it, hell just buy the automatic.. swapping the transmission is a piece of cake when you're thinking about doing sr swaps. plus engine and transmission's are easy to get so it'll end up not costing you anything to do the swap really. you'll need a different drive shaft, the brake and clutch pedal and master cylinders and a few other things and you'll be on your way. there is a list of the parts needed on 240sx.org, under installs... there was a guy that did it/. he even gives full instructions and everything for doing the swap. but if you're not swapping the engine and kind of would rather just buy one already with a 5 speed, then just wait. it'll come around. mine did.

yeah.. i'm still waiting. even if i do get it, i can't drive it until i get good grades. my insurance costs hella and i need a 3.0 gpa to lower the cost. i just want something to work on and maybe drive it at night once in a while. but yeah.. i'll just wait some more and see whats up. my dad always tells me, 'in the future, there won't be any 240s left.'
