Absolutely. It's a simple swap, as the engines are identical.

I'd recommend you ask this question in the 240sx section just to make sure you don't need to swap the ECU.

Where can I get a comprehensive but concise histoty of the 240sx series; engine, drivetrain, suspension and body layout and major details?

Such as:

What does S13, S14 etc represent?

Which model years had which engines; i.e. CA, KA, SR, etc. and what they represent?

What are the basic suspension arrangements of the various model years?

When did "styling cues" change, and what were they?

hi-i have a 1990 240sx with a rb20det motor. i recently hot-wired my electric fans to run of the fuel pump fuse{ a write-up from this site, you run the positive wire to the fuel pump fuse and you ground the negative} well it has shorted out the fuel pump i think. the car sputters and will not run. anything i can do to at least make this thing run to my shop or somewhere? thank you. one guy says i need to rewire my fuel pump now??? just thought i would add that

My question is: My 240 recently started making a sputtering noise when I am at a stop, i have to keep it reved over 1000 rpms, and it starts acting up around 850 mwhich is normal idle. Oh, and my brakes are getting harder to push in for braking stops.

*Does anyone else a problem with their 240 all the time because its something new every week, and I'm thinking about selling it*

First to answer your question regarding the 24sx.....I always have problems with My 240. But the good outweighs the bad....theoretically. I love my car to death even though it ticks me off most of the time. 2nd....i had that sputtering problem a couple of times with my car.....if you have an auto (not to sure if its the same with manual), check the vacuum line that runs along the firewall between the brake booster and the intake manifold. make sure it is fitted together properly. if there is too much tension. remove the braket that holds it to the firewall.. When your out "hot rodding", because you have hydralic motor mounts the motor tends to rock and separate the hose from the fitting on the firewall. removing the bracket eliminates this.If your hose is seated properly.......then it might be time for a new brake booster.Caution on used parts---- I ordered a used brake booster and it lasted me 4 months. hope this info might be helpful to you.
