Don't fall for the fluid flush sales pitch

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Somebody at work asked me about oil and fluid flushes today. No surprise car MFGs like Nissan don't recommend them and they won't provide warranty support for any fluid flushing related/caused failures. See Nissan's notice to dealers on page 3.

There are some machines that assist only with fluid changes and don't introduce solvents or pressurize the fluid during the change process. These machines aren't the same as the flusher machines Nissan is referring to.

Not to mention I was at a Firestone store in Central New York a couple weeks ago and they were running a sale on brake fluid flushes... brake fluid flushes, seriously!?
