Have you ever dumbass-ed it up so much you just didnt wanna see anyone else do the same?

If you own an automatic car you know that the drive plate that bolts to the crank is bolted on to the torque converter by four bolts.

I musta been in another world or something, but i only snugged up those four bolts instead of torquing them. I must have called it a day and the next day i bolted everything back up around the transmission.

Drove great for about 20 miles then i noticed when i fired it up next it made just the nastiest rattle, i could tell it was coming from the transmission.

thinking i was comlpetely hosed i unbolted it all this morning, sure as schit, three of the bolts are not even finger tight.

Its all good now, but i just wanted everyone to know, quit smoking pot and working on your car... or just hit those bolts with the impact gun.

Don't feel bad. I did the same thing when I replaced my auto. That noise scared the living poop out of me. Had to replace the bolts with new ones from the dealership. I don't think the pot had anything to do with it tho. lol

now it idles like a dirty poop too. And by idles i mean runs. Its running like either the ignition is retarded a lot or the EGR is stuck open.

My other car used to run and idle like this (a lot of shaking, and like no power), but after i got a chance to get on it wide open for about one second it would all the sudden surge and run perfect. It however no longer does this. From my best guess based on the symptoms and the fact that WOT made it go away, i assumed it was a sticking EGR, but it NEVER does this anymore.

very confusing problem. new plugs, swapped wires, unplugged knock sensor, unplugged TPS and messed with the distributor. tried a lot of stuff, but the only thing i was too frusterated to try is hitting the EGR with a hammer to get it unstuck (which is one of the best ways to check for stuck EGRs in my experience).

only thing i can think of is maybe i accidently put the S14 coolant temp sensor in instead of the S13 one, but i dont think thats the case, all i need is an idea if someone has one
