Ordered this a while back and went to install it this week...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...S%3A1

Nice looking piece, and a great idea, but there's no way to attach it. The factory top half has screw holes in it where the lower half screws into...

So if you use this, it basically just SITS on top of your column, flopping around, with no way to attach it. And the lower half has nothing to hold it on either.

I've sent a message to the seller, but haven't heard back yet.

What a freakin' waste of $58 - a big chunk of cash.

I want my damn money back.

Greg you didn't use the fiberglass???Didn't read the fine print in size .0000000000000000000000002 font That says some modification may be required. No place for you to mount it anywhere else?after a bit of trimming?

you could try and use something like double-sided tape to keep it on

I think that I just figured out that I need to make a mold for all applications. The only ones that I have made so far are for an S14 but if there is enuff business, I can defenitely make one for an S13. My molds will probably cost more but they would look and fit a heck of alot better. I'm the one who made the S15 and S14 custom cluster that's a couple of topics back.

Uh Greg, it's ur fault, hahahaha.

You're suppose to fiberglass filler these things onto your EXISTING column.

Don't feel bad, I paid 70 for mine & ended up giving up in hopes of getting something better. Maybe that's the same piece that has been circulating around ebay from one owner to the next, HAHAHAHAHA.

if it fits over the stock piece, use some rivets to hold it in place.

Than there are always Zipties

JB weld that sucker on. Mix the JB weld, let it sit for 20 minutes so it gets thicker. Apply the JB weld on the column where that gauge pod touches it. Then slid the gauge pod on. Let it dry for an hour, or cure for a full 24 hours for full effect.

I had to do this for my old 4th Gen Maxima when I bought a 3 gauge pod for the A-pillar. I thought it replaced the a-pillar, but low-behold, it just overlaps on it.

The JB weld's got my vote. Or at least epoxy. I'm thinking Plastic Fusion. Have some ballz and stick that baby on there good. Oh... what's that- you don't like it now?? Well I guess you're S*** outta luck! Who's dumb azz idea was that epoxy anyhow!?@!@#
