That is just too damn funny! ROFL.

P.S. It is not a codec issue - your browser is simply not starting up the correct app to handle the file. So, simply download the file (e.g., right click in Netscape over the link and "Save Link Target as ..."), start up the Windows Media Player and open the saved file directly. Works like a charm.

That was great!

Some guy at my school had one of those and let me ride it. He told me to be careful because he had a built motor. I thought to myself how much can you build a goped? It was fun, but kind of slow. I hit a long straight away and decided to open it up all the way. It starts to speed up. The revs get higher, higher, then BOOM!, all of a sudden it hits the power band, the torque lifted the front end vertical (I was standing on the very front) and threw me right on my ***. I couldn't walk right for the rest of the day.

Those things are cool if you have a wheelie bar like the guy in the vid, or if you're heavy enough to keep the thing planted on the ground.

I heard guys in Japan build insanely quick gopeds, kind of like the one in the video.

say they did go really fast, how the hell could the goped stop without shooting the rider 100 ft ahead?

That kid's running on Go-cart slicks and brakes. Remember that probably weighs less than 200lbs and with a built up motor making even like 50hp would get that thing going reaaaaal fast.
