Dome / Rear Hatch Light

Hey Folks,

I know this topic has been addressed in a couple other threads, but I wanted to get some further opinion on dome and rear hatch lights. I know the dome and map lights take the DE3175 light, which is 31mm long. But it was mentioned in a previous dome light thread that this light was a bit too long for the rear hatch light, although the poster was able to cram it in there.

My question then is would the following LED (at 29mm) work best in the rear hatch light:
