Dome lights keep burning out

Well I thought today was going to be a perfect but my dome lights burnt out for the second time.

I have installed 1990-1992 vent lights and the 1994-1995 auto dimming mirror, But both have there own fuses and are tied on to other fuses.

But I have no idea why the dome lights keep burning out on me.

Do any of the mods have to go? or do the vent lights which are tied to the ILL fuse with a 10 AMP fuse have to go?

That is strange! I still have every single interior bulb installed at the factory working at 222,000 miles.

Take your multimeter and measure voltage at battery with engine at idle speed and at 2500 rpm and report back- maybe you are getting an over-voltage condition shortening their life.

Indeed, I mean I got two OEM lights both of the times, Hell the parts guy said: Why do you buy everything OEM when Autozone is just as good.

I will try sylivania LL bulbs tommorow and see how long they last.

But the OEM bulbs lasted only 1 month Max.

whip out that multimeter- overvoltage could wipe out more than lightbulbs!

I will check it out, but I hope its not the assembly or anything of that sort.

But the chance are pretty slim that I could have two bulbs go bad at the same time.

I used "Add a Circuit" to added them to a fuse in the fuse box. That was not the way to go and I suggest no one else do so.
