New to the forum (as I just bought my new Versa 2011 Nav) however since the day I picked it up, the dome light "door" mode has not worked. It will just stay on. I have had it back 4 times now, and they still haven't been able to fix it. Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with their dome light?
just for info sake, they have replaced the dome light, than they replaced the PCM, and still same issue.

Being from Scotland I am not sure what you mean by dome light, if it is what we call the cabin light that goes on and off when you open and close the doors then I had that problem in a previous car. Replaced the contact switch in the door, still failed, replaced the Cabin light "Dome light", checked and tested the wireing door switch to light and fitted the light (which I picked up from a scrapyard ) all was well. The problem was found to be a relay which kept the light on for about 15 seconds after you close the door. This may not help you with your problem only to say that, that kind of fault is not unique. I would think a decent mechanic should have be able to find the fault, could even be as simple as a bad earth, it is not rocket science.

my dome light worked fine until i had to replace it. it just is a little touchy. thats all. I wish you luck

Hope by pcm they mean BCM (unit behind the glove box). Does the dome lamp go off when you hit the lock button on your keyfob?

Sorry, with work and Christmas and such haven't had a chance to get back here, they fixed it (took them 2 whole days of talking to everyone from my dealership to the assembly plant in Mexico) aparently when the side airbag was bolted to the frame one of the wires got bolted to the frame as well and shorted it. Rather Happy that it is fixed, just hoping it isn't a sign of things to come. They told be that this actually shut down the assembly line in Mexico for them to check and find a better way to attach the wiring harness to avoid this happening again. Than they threw stuff at me to make me happy (not literally) key chain, ice scrapper (I do live in Canada ;-) a pen, and a free oil change. Right now everything on my baby is working fine and am very happy with this "car" (reserving my opinion on the dealship). Thanks everyone for the input though.
