no..... I checked that firstPaul Wall wrote:Is the dimmer switch turned all the way to the right (On)?
Rex i really appreciate the effort, however, that wasn't it either???? maybe those gremlins that fixed the seat positioner will show up againRex wrote:Check the little rubber boot covered "door closed" sensors. I had one hang up on one of my Q's so it thought the door was always closed ... I guess the opposite could happen.
do you have info relative to removal and replacement, I have a couple of sparesPaul Wall wrote:Then my friend you might need a new Body Control Module. Like I said all the problems you are having with the car is linked to that.
JazzMan- Before you start replacing the BCM.....is the trip odometer saying DOOR OPEN? The rear door switches are a single wire connection meaning that the body of the switch contacting the chassis is what completes the circuit. If there's corrosion behind the switch it may not be getting a good ground. The front switches have more than one wire but still need a good ground to the chassis to work properly.DetroitJazzMan wrote:......I made sure that all doors were closed.... removed the key ..... disconnected the battery cable.... nothing worked.. Seems that there is some sort of dimmer that isn't working.......
This is a frustrating problem. yesterday, I reconnected the battery, seat positioner stopped working. then while driving, put the turn left turn signal on and the footwell ligts began blinking with the turn signals???? this is strange!!!!!!!goody90q45 wrote:

Peel back the rubber on each switch and you'll see one screw holding it to the door jamb. Clean any corrosion on the mating surfaces and check the connector also. If that doesn't fix it then move on to the dimmer switch and BCM.
Since the auto seat positioner works when it sees the drivers door close I'd start with that switch. The two problems could easily be connected.
