Has anyone changed their dome light to LEDs? I'm thinking about doing that next now including the map lights since I just did the license plate LEDs.

Yea I did now i bought a bunch of L.E.D's from U.S home direct off of ebay and V-leds.com. Get white they look great and much more powerful and brighter obviously. bulb # is DE3175 for all interior lights. It's pretty easy to.

I'm now trying to decide whether or not to switch ut the brake light bulbs to L.E.D bulbs

Thanks man! I'll look into them and probably get it when I have time. I can't wait to change them all out for a consistent and clean look.

Got my lights yesterday and put them in. I got the dome light also in white LED. I was hoping for a brighter appearance, I have always felt the dome light for the versa was a bit lacking considering theres no map lights or other standard featured lights. Overall I am pleased, it does in fact give it a nice clean look. Most of my passengers have wondered why I got the blue bulb, but it really is the white, if that gives you a perspective on what to expect. It wasnt overly bright, I was kind of disappointed in that area, but overall I am pleased that I spent the money.

I got these for the two map lights: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.17899

Super white and super bright,. Great effect.

Then I got a blue 3x3 led light from here http://superbrightleds.com/festoon.html (Under "LED Festoon Bulb" the blue one) Put that as my main dome light so the car is blue inside when I first unlock it and get in. Not as practical as the white ones, but looks really nice especially since my Versa is blue.

How did you put the LEDs in the dome assembly? Was it difficult or did it not take long?

Pretty simple. If you look at your owner's manual, (8-30 on the 2008 OM) there are pictures and instructions.... Takes 1 minute.

Essentially, you can just pop the plastic out with a screwdriver.

How did you get the license plate plastic out BTW? Same way?

The plastic part has a latch that snaps into the assembly. Just press that firmly and pull out the bulb holder. It's tricky getting it out of the holder because the bumper gets in the way. The clear plastic cover doesn't come off, the lights go inside it.

When taking out the bulbs, they're taken out by unscrewing them. Just twist the part where the wires go and the bulbs just pull off.

Let me know how they turn out I was looking at purchasing some. (Pictures would also be great if it is not too much trouble.)

White...Installed them this morning, takes less than 5 minutes. Kind of tricky pulling back on the metal contacts where the electric current flows through. Make sure to turn the switch 'off'. They look clean and appear brighter than the OEM bulbs. I ordered two more white LEDs for the map lights. Overall, worth it!
