Well I received my motor set a few weeks ago and finally got around to pulling the transmission off to check the clutch. I found the clutch was an ORC racing clutch single disc. Does anyone know about this company? I searched the net and found their website, but it is in Japanese. Google's translator doesn't do a very good job....I'm hoping to find out original disc thickness. I will post photos as soon as I can. If anyone knows how I can see if this clutch is worth keeping and save a few bucks for the rest of my motor swap. Pics on way.

ORC is a very good clutch. Expensive though. What's the thickness you got on the disc now?

Thanks for the reply 180fan,I have to get a micrometer to get some measurements. As soon as I do I will post them up. I am also having a great deal of diffuculty locating (in english) a place that sells a replacement disc or pressure plate. The pressure plate has some heat spotting as well as the flywheel. My dad told me I should be able to lightly scuff the plate and flywheel with some emory paper to get those out. He said that the flywheel looks like it may be a bit sensitive to resurfacing (looks like a lightweight flywheel). Thanks again for the reply.

When you get the measurements, post that up. Do you also know the model number on the clutch kit? They offer several types of single disc clutch types. It'd be a good idea to get the flywheel resurfaced. It'll make the break in much more predictable and less trouble down the road. Not to mention it's pretty cheap.

There are a few places I can direct you to get the disc, but you'll need to find out about the kit you have.
