Hey everyone. I did a search on this but nothing came up for me so forgive me if this has been discussed already.

So yesterday I ordered some 18" rims for my AC and I would like to drop it as much as I can on springs without having to go to coils so naturally I looked at Tein springs. For a while I thought that Tein only made springs for the 3.5 but I found this link where they will fit for the 2.5 so now I am a bit confused. It doesn't specifically say made for 2.5, it say fits all engine types. Heres the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Altima-TEIN-S-T ... 99&vxp=mtr

I saw in another thread where a user emailed Tein and they responded that they do not make springs for the 2.5 Altima, only 3.5. So if anyone has purchased these springs for their 2.5 and have had success please let me know. I am wanting to buy them today so I can have them by the time my rims come in. Thanks!

I believe they will fit, but the reason for them not saying they are for the 2.5 is because the VQ35DE is probably a heavier engine than the QR25DE and would require stiffer springs, and thus would raise the front end with the lighter engine. I'm almost certain the spring would fit, as it is the same chassis, but the spring rate would probably be terrible.

If someone knows more about it than me though, feel free to correct me.

yeah I've read that it will fit and I know that since the 3.5 is heavier (not by much if I'm not mistaking), it would therefore require stiffer springs. But thats not my issue. I'm just confused as to if these springs are infact made for the 2.5 or not. And if they are not, has anyone experienced using Tein springs on their 2.5? I found a thread where someone bought them but never installed them because they were afraid of having issues later on.

As much as I would love to be lower, if there are issues with this and if this is not made for the 2.5 I'll probably just end up getting the Eibachs.

In the facebook group I believe someone installed the Teins on a 2.5. The front pretty much stayed at stock height, and now he's looking for new springs. You're better off going with Eibachs if you're looking for the lowest drop.

nice, glad I went with the Eibachs then. They've been sitting in my trunk for a week now. Hopefully I can get them installed today.
