also i'm planning to run around 17 psi hoping to get atleast 350whp.i'm looking into a JWT ECU, do you think 55 lb injectors will be fine for that level? also how much are the injectors and the ecu? i dont' feel like having a few months down time for sending the ECU out. so what is the price of a a ECU with reflash from JWT?

also i'm planning to keep the factory rod. i'm planning to have them shot peened. do you think they'll hold? this is goin to be my daily drive like it is now.

thanks.

http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/ on the ecu and they run about $600. I'm on the same boat as you right now deciding on pistons. I plan on going the the 550cc injectors, but I don't know if they can program the Z32 maf with it. I was told it would take about 3 weeks for the ecu once you send it in.

well i don't want to car to be down for too long. so i was wonderin if they can sell complete ECU's. anyways which compression ratio you think fits daily driving bette? obviously 9:1 is better casue of more off boost power. but i mean are they noticially less reliable then 8.5:1?

also the rods. shot peening the stock rods should be good enough for the power i'm making right?

and the choice of brand of pistons. do brands make a difference? which co would you prefer? CP, JE, or Wiesco? this is casue i hear some negetive things about Wiesco's design.

Wiseco is the leader in piston manufacturing. They are the biggest for a reason. They also use the best manufacturing techniques and equipment.

What part of their design are you concerned about?

actually, CP is a higher quality piston and alot more research goes into them from what I hear. A regular CP piston will hold up to well over 40psi, while a wiseco you'll need to upgrade the wrist pins anything past 25psi basically.

And CP does make a 9:1 for the DOHC, call up race engineering, they have a set in stock as of 3 days ago when I called -- as long they follow the same rule as every other piston, -1 point of compression in a SOHC, because they told me that had a set of 8:1 CP for the SOHC...which would normally be a 9:1 in a DOHC.

CP pistons are rather expensive. Their shelf part for the KA is 8.5 cr. You can have them make any CR you want tho.

As for the wrist pin, you also need to upgrade that for major boost. Their wrist pin option for high boost is about 25 bux per piston
