Ok if any of you remember I had asked before why everyone chops the auto harness to make it work with a manual. Basically I got my answer as it being easier to do because the dash harness is different as well. Well the plan was to do the same....Until now. after being under my newly bought s14 enough I have noticed just an ungodly amount of rust in all the wrong places and basically it was more of a issue that I didn't care to fix. soooo. Now I have two 14s lol. I bought a clean California car, engine and all for $700 but it has been gutted. no interior and all of the harnesses are either missing, spliced, or cut. my plan was to take all of mine from the rusty car and put it on the clean car and be done with it. then I got to thinking. I'm doing a manual swap anyway. why not do it right since I have to replace the harnesses anyway.
So my question is... which harnesses can I use from the automatic car and which ones do I need to use from a manual car?
I've already got an uncut dash and full interior harness on the way. and a manual transmission harness on the way.
Do I need a different engine harness?
ignition?
fues boxes?
anything else you can think of?
any info would be great. I'm taking lots of pictures along the way and will put up a write up when I'm done for those that want to tempt swapping everything down the road.
