Well the headgasket on my ka24e is leaking coolant into the cylinders, so its time for me to replace the headgasket. What all should I be replacing since I am going to be in there? Also, I noticed there are some engine rebuild kits on ebay. Are these kits "good" or should they be avoided at all costs?

As you take parts off you will find out more of what you need to do get the valve cover off if any thaing looks messed up then you will need to replace it. My 90 sohc neded new pistons and a head it just dipends on how it has ben mantaned over the life of the car.If it is not your only car I wud rebild it or swap it how many mils r on it mine had 180,000 nad the last owner was racing it when it died. Good for me tho i got it for 300 i am having the block bored, honed, hot tanked, new freze plugs and just about avery thang you can think of dun to it. about 300$ in nor cal ,but it just dipends on what you can do money, time, skill. I am doing a full rebild becuse i have anuther car time to rebild it a place and low on cash and i know how to rebild moters (R.I.P. prelude i loved that car) any way if you do just head gasket go to napa or any stor like that and get a hg kit it will have all of what you need. but look at your head see if it needs to be reservised (bad spelling ) I have to get to work i hope this helped.
