About 6 years ago i built my SOHC KA. Its got custom forged JE pistons (10.5:1 CR), a Nismo camshaft (270* rotation, its huge!!), ARP head studs, ported and polished head, intake, header, exhaust, MSD 6AL ingnition, Fidanza flywheel, Centerforce stage 2 clutch, ASP crank pulley, electric fan conversion, and some home made ECU tuning.

Well, it was awesome (aside from some oil leaks), but now that my 90 coupe has her CA18DET in place, im going to freshen this up a bit and put it into my 90 fastback.

This rebuild im adding some ACL Calico coated main and rod bearings, a Toga high volume oil pump, and i'll be removing the secondary butterfly valves. Anyone else think of anything im missing for a NA KA build??

Im currently tearing the motor down and i must say, despite the tons of grit and dirt on the outside, the motor looks to be in excellant shape on the inside! Im probably not even going to get any machining done. I'll decide that when its down to the bare block.

if you want a little more power n/a then switch to e85 and get some forum of knock sensor like the msd knock alert and then retune it. Since e85 is about 104-106 octane you could run more timing to get power out of it.
