wassup again, if u've read my past posts..i recently totaled my 95 240sx SE..damn..sad..BUT! i recently bought 2..and count it..2 240sx's that don't run (due to engine problems) but besides that are in good condition. One is a 89 fastback while the other is a 92 coupe. The 89 fastback needs a new engine basically and comes with an automatic transmission but who would want that? Since I have my engine from my 95 with the 5 spd transmission, I was wondering what I would need to accomplish this swap. I heard from other posts that i'd need to rewire the power steering? Exactly how hard will this swap be? Also, I still have my lsd from my 95 and want to swap it onto my 92 coupe since it doesn't come with it. How hard would that me? I'm planning on selling my 89 fastback after i swap my engine into it and then I'm fixing the 92 coupe since all it needs is 1 cam. Thanks for your help.

Solomon :help

P.S. i'm selling/trading the following parts for those who might be looking for some things.

-89 fastback (needs engine/transmission) body is in good condition-stock 95 springs-tokico gas shocks and eiback springs complete set for 95-96-hotshot headers connected to new custom catylytic converter to hks dragger exhaust-injen intake

Sounds like you have a task ahead of you. From what I've seen from auto to manual swaps are basically rewiring the reverse lamps and installing the slave and master cylinders for the clutch and so on. Not sure if they'll be bolt on but ummm good luck, as for powersteering, I don't know why you would need to rewire that. I'm probably missing other things but this is pretty much what I know about the auto-manual swap.

never mind. that's a little far away. plus i just bought an 89. the body is in poor shape. lots of dents and scratches but there're only 56k miles on it so it runs like a champ.
