So after getting the new DOHC engine in the '89 body we were putting all the wiring together when we came across this 4 pin plug under the Fuse Box.

We looked in a stock KA24DE 240sx and saw that instead of this 4 pin plug there was a 2 pin plug. The DOHC engine wiring harness we swapped in also had a 2 pin plug.

SO we ended up with a 4 pin plug and a 2 pin plug, and they need to fit together... Too bad the wire colors don't really match...

I've searched and I have found nothing about this plug in the SOHC to DOHC swap. What does this control? What should I do?

Thanks!!!

so the 4 pin connector is for the fan, ok. but is the 2 pin connector also for a fan? If so how do you connect the two? Is the electrical fan even needed if you already run a pulley fan?

Thanks!!

Was an auto harness?Looking at the diagram, seems to be something about the transmission or something like that. Will keep looking though

Both harnesses should be for manuals. The engine harness should be for the '91 KA24DE DOHC. and the body harness SHOULD be for a '89 SOHC.

I haven't gotten to drive it yet seeing as how we've been having some engine trouble (see zerothread/186639) so I can't tell you if the transmission is working top notch, but we connected all the harnesses to the transmission.

Thanks a lot man. good to see someone with some knowledge around here.
