i would think it would work if you used the harnes frome the dohc and if all the coolent pathways are the same. i don't even know if the blocks are the same so i gusse you could tell by looking at the head gaskets for both and if they are the same then it might work

That is awesome. I could have swore that I heard of that before. That is truly awesome and a project at that. I wonder what you could expect out of a dyno from that. Would it be just like having a DOHC or does it compound because of the compression change. If it would go to a compression of 11.7.1 then would the stock pistons be ok.

Is Glacier985 still part of the boards. I havent seen any posts lately or a finished product. I think he did a very good job, but he got frustrated near then end and started getting careless. Cutting wires not soldering them on right. But pioneers are like that. I think I am going to try it. Not sure though

yeah i think he still is active but i don't know really i went to his we site and the ka looks good, well the only way you can get the 11.7CR is if your SOHC ka pistions were made before a certin date, i have a 90 the was built in september of 89 so my CR would be about 11.2 i think thats what i was told. Yeah i think what the two of them have done so far is very good. i will try this after i take my car out of the garage in early spring so it will be ready for summer, i thik its not going to be that hard but it is going to be a cahalnge. i hope it works when i get done .
