I am in the process of the KA24DE/ 5-speed swap on an 89. I like a really clean, simple engine bay. I have already removed the AIV components, I would like to get rid of every vaccuum line and sensor I don't need. The EGR and charcoal canister will have to stay, Colorado emissions are strict, but it seems every line ties into each other and everything works as a system. I am mainly speaking of the vaccuum nightmare behind the head. If anyone knows what I can remove w/out having driveability problems or trouble codes please let me know, especially people with a lot of experience with the KA's. Thanks in advance, Justin

Allright I started searching a bit more creatively with my words and found some info, but nothing proves reliable so far.

theres not much you can remove if you have emmision restrictions... those vacum lines control 3 things.. the secondary butterfly valves which those you can remove, the egr which you can't, and the fuel pump regulator which you don't want to mess with... you nailed just about everything else though

Yup, down here in FL, I removed every little rubber hose and crap I dont need. All I have left is a little hose going from the intake manifold to the Fuel Pressure Regulator, the IAC hose and the brake hose.
