Does anybody know if the ECU (ID "EP") is from the S13 or from the S13?

I pulled the harness and ECU out of an S13, but i was curious because ive normally pulled ECU ID "26" from most 5-speed DOHC KAs.

could ECU "EP" be from an S14 KA? i noticed the KA i pulled out of this S13 had slightly elevated hump on the valve cover (if there are differences), as well as a sensor on the power steering lines that ive never seen before.

anybody know the differences?

How many bolts are there down the center of the valve cover? If it's three, then it's an S13 motor. Two, you've got an S14 KA.

there are 3 bolts down the center of the valve cover, hence it is an S13 motor. as far as the ECU is concerned however, would that mean that the EP ECU is from a 5 speed coupe? most 5 speed fastbacks ive dismantled were designated with the 26 ECU. true or false?
