i saw a similar post i think on this site not too long ago but i had some more questions. If i swapped the dohc head onto the sohc block in my 89 240 i would get pretty high comp. or so that post said. it also said to counter act this you had to adjust the cams and then make a ghetto cam cover to fit it. could i just buy adjustable cam gears for it and would that work? what other problems might there be? Also if I did find a way to make it work is daily driving a car with high compression like this difficult? would the engine not last very long under that kind of stress? I just think it would be kinda cool to not pay a ton and have a decent na ka engine. it already has exhaust so the high comp would be sweet. thanks in advance for any help you can give.

You can do it, doubt it'll run all that long though. There are better ways to run an NA tuned KA. Check out what Nissan Motorsports did to a KA24E for an excellent example.
