dohc head on sohc?

has anyone done this? i've heard about higher compression, around 170? any power gains? what else can be acheived?

its been done but its a huge waste of time and money. its supposed to raise compression to 11:1. its a good set up but you will have to change timing covers, timing set up, oilpan, distributor, and a few other things. i'm doing a set up that i'm putting the single cam pistons in my dual cam block. its basicly a full rebuild just replacing the dual cam pistons with the singlecam pistons. its a whole lot easier and more affordable.

hey what sohc pistons u gonna use? because theres two different ones right? i think this is a better idea to much mods , fresh rebuild is just better..i got a single but for some odd reson i can never find a dohc in any junk yard
