DOHC HARNESS help needed

Hi all, im not new to nico this is my first help thread. so here goes.

im doing a sohc to dohc swap. and i am in need of a engine harness.. but i got confuesed earlier.

what do i need???

s13 ka24de engine (top) harness? does it matter is the harness came from a 5spd or auto?

what is this dash harness that i hear i need? why wont my sohc one work? some tell me it will connect up to the engine harness??

and is the engine harness composed of the top and transmission harness?

those are my questions.

If someone want to ignore the questions and just tell me what i would need to get and to do to get my swap on the road i would grovel at your feet.

you need the dohc harness. won't make a difference if it's auto or standard, as long as you match the lower harness to the transmission.

by dohc harness what do you mean??

i have herd so many terms...

engine harness, transmission harness, dash harness..!!1 advil here i come!

wellim doing a sohc to dohc swap, will my dash harness plug up to a dohc engine harness?

whats a transmission harness or is it part of the whole harness?

as in the engine harness. you'll also need the dohc's tachometer to get the rpm to display.

lower harness - connects to starter, alternator, transmission, and a couple plugs at the fusebox. You'll need the one for the right type of transmission, like if it's a standard, you'll need a standard harness, etc.
