ok so when i swapped my sr into my 90 hatch i changed out the gauge cluster to a dohc one. a few things went wrong. the clock no longer works no matter what cluster is installed, the lights wont light up ( i have already replaced all fuses and that small white box has no burnt out trails on it like az's write up says it should) and on top of all that the stock water temp gauge jumps past the H as soon as i start the car and just stays there. iv changed it out with one from a sohc cluster and it did the same thing. perhaps my sensor is burnt out?

Sounds like if all fuses are good and lights don't work the only thing else in that circuit is the combo switch. The temp sensor is rather bad or is grounding causing it to max out. Its the single wire one next to the tb.

For the lights, another thing I thought of is the dimmer switch.
