So I got 240sx for my first car last night, and the revs don't work on the cluster. He told us it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. And he said that it's a DOHC cluster but has a SOHC engine. Will that really have an effect on the cluster revs not working? The cluster is also a kmh cluster.

Well it will work, I swapped my friends old SOHC digi cluster into my DOHC hatch but I had to swap over the harness that directly fits to the cluster. The problem is if you don't do that it won't work, if you do then it does. There is no working sometimes and not others. I'll say that if, in your experience while driving it never works, then you probably need to do that. But I don't know if there is an issue from it being a kmh cluster... That being said pull the cluster and check to see what's been done then go from there.
