Hi all,

Great Forum.

Does anyone know of a fitted dog guard designed for the back hatch of the rogue? It would come in very handy for road trips.

I haven't seen Rogue specific one yet, but I am sure a generic one will fit. Most stores should allow you to test fit one.

Honestly, dog guards are great for keeping pets 'contained' but are totally useless from a safety point of view. Any serious collision will likely cause your dog to crash though the barrier and be seriously injured. When I travel with my dog (a 50+lb Plott Hound), she is restrained in the back seat using a dog specfic car harness:

This is not my dog BTW.

The harness can be attached by looping it through the seat belt, or in my case I have a kit that uses the factory seat buckle. The harness has 2 pieces of webbing that pass underneath the dog's chest and buckles together at the back. It's easy to install and remove and it's very difficult for a dog to slide out of it. I don't travel anywhere without it.
