I thought I read somewhere that there was no differance in a KA transmission and a CA the SR was also mentioned. Anyone know anything about this?

there's no difference as far as the gears go, except for different ratios, but the housing are different and cannot be swapped between eachother,

My friend has a high power kA24DE(T) 450+whp and today was his first time driving a car with a CA18DET in it and he's in love with long gears, especially third. He loves the engine so much that I let him drive while I tuned the customers SDS system. i actually felt sorry for the car because he would not let go of 3rd gear and was ecstatic about the fact that he can take 3rd gear all the way to 7500rpm on a basically stock motor. Too much KA, low revs and torque for him:D ; he should get around more.
