I'm trying to determine if it's normal for the Q's converter to crackle / pop a little after turning off the engine?Mine does.....

I had two bad transmission sensors that required the tranmission to be pulled for replacement. I paid over $800.00 alone to fix the slow leak caused by the bad sensors. Now that I got my car back I still hear that crackling noise. I previously thought it was the ATF leaking out of the bad sensors and burning off the exaust.....but now wondering if it's just a normal thing for the converter to do??

I don't recall the noise when I first bought her back in 2001 with 48K.

yes, totally normal for the q,lots of metal to cool down!I love the added sizzle the air conditioning condensate line adds to the mix in summer!

Yeah its normal.....

Q ship brings a good point.... Even with the AC dripping right on the precat, it seems to STILL make a puddle the size of texas....

I moved my A/C drain, as I don't like it dripping on anything but the ground.

Mine's pretty quiet after shutoff.

Me too. I don't think either of my G50 ever dripped on anything but the ground.

Yeah mine just clicks a little bit, nothing like clanking just a few pops here and there.....
