Hi all, Im looking for a used G coupe at the moment , maybe 03-04. But after extensive research I find that the g had alot of rattles issues and many owners are unable to get it fixed even if taken to the dealer.

I currently own a 02 Acura TL-S and theres some rattles in the back seat and headliner and it drives me nuts ! Sometimes I will punch the crap out it to make it shift or not rattle-I know it sounds crazy.

So the question is, are there rattles on ALL the G's or is it just some? Those of you who have, how did you solve it if the dealer didnt fix it.Please dont tell me to turn up the radio, I dont like to ignore the problem. Thanks for any input.

I think a lot of it has to do with how the car was treated... I have an 03 Coupe 6MT and it's bank-vault silent except for a slight buzz coming from the shifter boot (which I will have the dealer address).

I have been in a few G35's and Z's that were abused that had some rattles, but no more so than any other car of the same year.

I had a few rattles in my 03 coupe. I had a rattle coming from the passenger side door which the dealer addressed without any problems. I also had a more annoying rattle coming from my dash around the stereo which took a bit of work for the dealer to figure out, but they ended up getting it taken care of. So, now I have no rattles.

Well, I have an '05 coupe and mine rattles like a damn tin can.

In my opinion it is an expensive POS, but just my opinion. I will stick it out until they update the G sedan in 08 and if I like it then I may get out of the coupe and into the G sedan or get an M I don't know.

The coupe is HOT!! Beautiful!! Don't get me wrong but rattles like you wouldn't believe. From the dash, the sunroof control panel area, the back cover in the back glass.

I have taken it to the dealer on numerous occasions for rattles, once letting them keep it for two days only to get it back and still have rattles. I am constantly having the dealer tighten those grates in the front windshield.

Like I said, just my 2 cents. If I had it to do over again I would have never gotten the coupe.

I just bought an 05 coupe with 5k miles...After the high of driving the car, I did notice a few rattles in the dash vents. When I moved them a bit, the rattles seemed to subside. NOTHING like my old car, a 97 formula!! She rattled/squeaked....a lot

How are the dealers at fixing the rattles? Will they give you a loaner while the work is being done?

The dealer was great with me. I got a free loaner because they considered it under warranty repair work. It did take them two and half days to track down the rattle in the dash and get that taken care of though.

Keep in mind that I am speaking in regards to one dealer. I have heard several other people who have had some bad experiences with their dealer in getting this kind of work done.

Thanks for everyone's response. I went ahead and bought a new 06' DG , 5at premium. It is super quiet , how a new car should be and I hope that it will be that way. +1 for the new projector headlight !
