The answer is yes, But it is dependent on the TPMS sensor (located inside each tire on the inner rim) fitting/mounting to the inside of your new rims etc. I have never laid eyes on one of the Mo sensors but they are typically mounted via the valve stem, thus should work on numerous wheels. Many have done so, so obviously it's doable. :-)JUANITQ wrote:New to the NicoClub. Currently doing a year in Iraq right now and plan on doing a lot to my '09 MO when I get home in May (Mesh Grille, Running Boards, Smoked Tail lights, Tint, Gauge Colors inside vehicle)
I was wondering if the Tire Pressure Monitoring System would still function if I were to add some 22" rims?
Should work depending on the wheel and how the lips are spun. Low aspect ratio tires are tough. My wheel manufacturer drilled the inside lip to hold the TPMS sensor in the lip "undercut" area. You can kinda see the "working" valve stem in the lower right:JUANITQ wrote:Well I'm about to purchase the 22" rims/tires online and have them sent to my home. Hopefully I can take them to a tireshop or the dealer when I get home and they can just throw the TPMS sensor inside the new tires and all will work perfectly.
KJ can you email me at [email protected] please. I need to ask you about something and this site has no pm messages!!KJSmitty wrote:
