I have a 95 s14 and the previous owner installed dual fans off an altima, but only wired one up. a few weeks ago tthe car started acting funny. the ac compressor ran fine when I started the car for about a minute and a half, and then it would stop.after 30 seconds it would start spinning real quick and the stopping, and kept doing it. my ac goes from cold to semi cool, and once it completely stopped. thinking the compressor was going out i took it to the shop to see what they said, and they told me that because the other fan isnt hooked up the compressor is building up pressure and shutting itself off repeatedly.they told me to bring it back and theyd wire it up but ill save some money and do it myself this week, but does this sounds right? and also, once I hook it up is it safe to take the big pulley fan off?thanks for your help

well i dont know whats really going on in ur case but i have a friend that has a completly stock s14 and his air blows ice cold then shortly after turning it on, it would jus quit blowing but the compressor was still kicking on, so we replaced the pressure sensor and had it recharged and its good. i believe the pressure sensor detects its getting low and shuts it off. i dont think the fan has much to with it. i run ac w/o a fan and im blowin snow balls all day
