I am pretty sure that this is right cause the other times I have seen for bolted auto 240's are close. My two best runs were 16.6 and 16.7, that may be a few ticks off of the fastest time I have seen for a bolted 240 ( 16.3 ) but thats fine with me. I just makes me want to finish my 5 speed swap that much faster, I figure I should pick up between a second to a second and a half depending on how well I drive it . I don't think thats unreasonable if I am going with a stage two clutch, light weight flywheel and short shifter from B&M. Anyway, just looking for a more educated opinion than mine to say that's about were I belong, thanks

unless you have a lot of mods to the engine and are around 250 hp, you should be fine with a stock replacement clutch from like ATC, they claim their stock replacement is also like 50% more holding power over OEM as well.

light weight flywheel, good idea. I wanna get one of those when I build my engine up.

B&M short shifter, I bought in a group buy almost a year ago, best $200 I've spent. the difference is amazing.

one more thing, make sure you break the clutch in correctly, which I believe is just taking it easy for like the first 500 miles. so no drag strip for a while.

I have a 89 with 146k on it 5 spd with exhaust intake and ACT clutch and ran 15.4 consecutively with a few 15 3's. You should be around there if your not a terrible driver.

Thats about what I am expecting, but I thing it may take a little time to get used to launhing at a drag stirp. The idea behind going with the stage two clutch is that I eventually want to try nitrous ( low shot, maybe 50 ). I have about 91,000 miles on the motor and from what I have seen on all the sites mines still a baby.

Even if you spray, your clutch should be your last concern. I'm sure a stock clutch would go well over 250 hp without giving up. But, if you have the money and feel like it go for it. It's only stage 2. It'll just take a lil getting used to to get going at first and your leg will get a lil better workout :-P.

The spray is just a thought right now, I am not sure I am going to do it but when the turbo is installed next summer I don't want to have to go back in and install another clutch. Make sense or no
