does this sound like a bad heater core?

engine operating temp is normal, thermostat IS good, and both heater hoses get pretty warm. The fan blows ice cold air though. sound like a clogged up heater core?

coolant could be low or the door that lets air through the heater core might not be opening

the heater core is nearly the highest point in the system so if your fluid is low it will not flow to it, jack up the front of the car to make the rad the highest spot, make sure the car is cool, start it and run it for a short while with the rad cap off, then stop and refill up to the top of the filler neck

you may want to reach under the dash and operate the air mix door manually.
