I thought the VG30DE would be going for a bit more than this....even the VG30DETT is $1150 on there...

That price doesn't seem all that bad, I definitely wouldn't spend much more than that for one though... but that's just because I'm too used to only have to spend a few hundred, if that, on the older VG30E's

I would also check out http://www.car-part.com. Its a good way to find engines in regular salvage yards if you're interested in that route as well.

Around $800 seems to be the norm ( before shipping).
