so what does that mean? is it from my antifreez leaking? its been really cold out and lost of moister under the bay and the oil has been in there for a few months, but ran maybe 10-20mins at the most

another thing was i let it sit without oil for a week and it rains all the time and there was lots of moister under the hood, so do i have to tear it all apart and rebuild?

water in motor is bad, unless its only the colling system

if you got water just sittin in th block or anywhere in the motor, i think you might need to tear it down.......sorry bro

I got my 240SX S14 from an salvage car auction. The car was flooded. There was water in the engine and transmission. I have replaced oil probably ten times, I didn't try to start it for the first two, but after that I let it turn for few seconds, more and more after each oil change. Probably I simply got lucky, engine runs very strong (it has been strong for 8,000 miles), compression is greatI will complete turbo kit fabrication/installation in a few weeks and then I would know for sure if the engine is alright.Good luck.

How did water get in you engine. Timing chain wear threw the water pump cover? If so its pretty common in SOHC when the guides go bad.

everything is new on this motor, no timing chain wear... the only thing i can think of is my old gas could have water in it from sitting for over half a year and getting into the oil from the motor somehow? im not loosing coolant that i can tell

check compression across all 4 cylinders... might be a blown head gasket

that is more water than oil man, what the hell did you do to this engine, leave the valve cover off in a rainstorm. How long has that oil been in there?

i agree with the blown head gasket idea.....although putting gas that has been sitting REALLY doesn't help anyhting i don't think that there would be enough water in the can to make the oil look that thin. you could try and changing the oil a few times like the other guy did and hope its nothing else.....but more likely something has been damaged somewhere along the line and your looking at some work ahead of you

also do a compression test, if the cylinder numbers are pretty low that would jsut about confirm a blown head gasket

i changed the oil agin, and ran it for 30secs, shut it off, ran it for 30secs, and let it sit over night, drained it and it looks the same agin.. now i dont think its the HG cause water only goes threw there after its warmed up right? i never ran it long enough to get warmed up.. the block was bored .040 over maybe it cracked? or where else can all that water come in from? and there was a few metal shavings at the bottom

sorry that this is keep happening.

You might have better luck finding an aswer if you post it at Nissan Mechanics section. Chris over there know pretty much anything so try.

I thought coolant is always at the engine water jacket. The coolant goes to the radiator after its warmed up.(correct me if im wrong) Do a compression test.

bump, my dad doesn't think its that cause the oil doesn't look like it had antifrez, but i dont know where else that much water can come from?
