I have had some weird reactions to my car. Some of the ones that stand out are (Im a sophmore) and I had a senior that was driving a brand new BMW pull up next to me while I was at a stop light and say that I had a nice car, then she winked and drove off. Or when I was coming back from paying for gas, two asains were walking by and yelled "SILVIA!" really loud, then noticed I was walking towards it and they walked off really fast. I was wondering if you guys (or girls) get any weird reactions to your cars too.

i get stupid remarks or insane criticism when i drive my car.

"drift!!", "sr DUB!!", "that probe is fast as f***", or "the headlights are falling out again!"

Let's see....I've gotten one guy to say nice car and ask me a bit about it at the car wash when I was vacuuming....and some douchebag on the street threw a cheetoh at me when I drove by. That's about it.

Best reaction: Back when I was in college, I was in Findlay, Ohio with a couple of my college buddies (I went to Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio). We had to go to the mall for something or another. We were rolling 3 deep in the vert - yeah, kind of gay, but I didn't want to ride in the Ford Contour. As we getting in the vert to leave, this car drives by with three girls in it. They screamed and flashed us as they drove by.

Did that just happen?! You guys saw that right?! Wow...

If my wife knew about this little vert story, she probably wouldn't let me drive it anymore, so don't tell her

I was just about to tellyou guys about how I got flashed on the beltway while driving the thing! almost crashed ahah. but yea, I've only gotten positive comments about it and then theirs the occasionaly tokyo drift ricer that like, "yooo you cut the roof of that must me some mad tyte weight reduction for drifting yo"

Many just don't even know its a 240, so a lot of questions and crazy looks. Had compliments from a lot of old people though, one guy had a Z23 Vert and liked it. Couple other older guys in old V8 trucks liked it. No real negative commets (don't really get those in any of my cars, they might be afraid I'd get out and sit on them I guess).

yeah no one really know my car usually either. and when i drive my dads miata (91) i get alot of compliments from older people as well. my gf's grandma is like in love with the miata lol.

/\ That is something I've noticed, I get a lot of compliments from middle aged people (40-50's range). Odd considering that in my area, they're all about their old school muscle cars and BUY DOMESTIC OR DIE kind of mentality.

Just pass by school bus w/top down. You can tell that school bus is about to tip over. High school kids go nuts over 240 vert.

Yeah, same here. Questions, thumbs up, compliments all the time from different age groups. Actually, the best reaction I got was in front of s13 coupe people. To them car looks same, but with a rag top, so they look at it VERY interesting. They want to see how top, front seat belts work and stuff. For most of them, my car is the first 240 vert thay have ever seen in person. Some noobs didn't know Nissan even made 240 vert.

I usually only get good compliments on my car along the lines of "your car looks clean!" and "you take really good care of your car". Sadly, nobody has flashed me in it, although I have gotten quite a few girls in the back seat

We don't have a huge ricer problem in my area, so I don't have to deal with people revving their hondas at me, and the people who don't know what the car is usually politely ask what kind of car it is. They get doubly confused when I say it's a 240SX and the rear says Silvia.

I allways get people wondering what size my wheels are... just average joes and random peeps.

Everyones allway so suprised that they are only 15s. Guess cause the cars straight dumped they look bigger.

One of the elementary kids in the walking line got all excited when I drove up to a stop sign with the top down and he kept yelling thats a really really cool car, and another kid yelled, it's a Mustang.

I even had someone who hates Civics and 240's because of their stereotypical ricerness. But he fell in love with mine when I texted him a picture of it and he drove up to where I work to see it that day.

I get a lot of compliments. I haven't had any bad ones yet.

i just got one last night. i went to ihop and ate some food. as i am paying for the food the guy at the counter says "is that your 240?" I say yeah. then he says "you got a SR in there" i say "nope KA-T for me" then he makes a noise of disgust. i ask him what he drives and he said that he drives a red integra. so i walk out and look at his car, turn around at him and laughed and pointed.

The guy had a big a$$ cobra emblem on his hood and a aluminum wing. the thing stood like 4 inches lol

I've had a few fun reactions to my vert:

-"Is that a Ferrari?"-When driving through KY, some kids on a Honda matched my speed, took out their cameras, and took pictures of the vert for a couple of minutes.-I was filling the vert up at the gas station and the attendant got on the intercom and asked me how much I wanted for my car.-"That's better than The Club!" (neighbor saw me carrying my quick release steering wheel)

it always happens at the gas station, usually get a couple guys come up to me cuz they usually never knew s13 had a vert so they just wanna check it all out. they usually are ooooed and awwwwed over the fact its a power top not a manual. and i usually get props for such a clean interior/exterior.

some gen 8 civic guy walked up and looked at it and said "limited edition, so what's so limited about it?" he said it really cocky so i just politely said, "how many you seen around" he said this was the first convertible one he's seen, and i said "exactly".....

the only chick action i've ever got was an old lady said "i used to have a car just like that" and i was like... damn i really need to get unstock.

Alot of people around our area don't really know what the 240's are. I had my 3 coupes and people were always asking what it was. Now I have my vert and the ones the recognize the 240 are like...'I didn't know that came in a soft top' or other things along those lines.

I have noticed that I used to get a lot more attention and compliments with my old, stockish, white vert. Now that i've got a 4x4, primer-gray, silvia vert I don't get as much... Maybe coilovers will change that.

Well this is a boring answer but the best reaction I got was from my Dad of all people. I am an old fart.... therefore he is a dinosaur, but I couldn't have whacked him in the head with a baseball bat and wiped the smile off of his face when I showed him my vert. He loves it. I do get some funny reactions though. I have really long hair, so I have been wolf whistled at before by some redneck guys and stuff from behind or coming up in the other lane more than once. When I turn around and they see I am a guy, the color on their faces disappear. I love it when that happens.

at a stop light last monday i had a guy ask me if i wanted to sell my 'vert.

then the next day i was a t abuddies house and we orderd pizza. when the pizza man came he was like "woah dude, nice s13 and s14!" (the s14 is my buddies car)
